ok...transunion and equifax both gave me my free reports..but experian wouldn't let me see mine. why? It asked me verification questions, and on the last two it said "you may have opened mortgage loans on 1/2001" and a list of companies or none of the above and the last question was to choose the payment amount...well on both i chose none of the above/does not apply because we have NEVER taken out mortgage loans..NO loans of any kind EVER...then it says...we're sorry, print out this page and mail to us we cannot show you your report online. it must be mailed. I went back and resigned up for experian and it gave me the same questions but this time the date change to november 2001....wtf????? do they do this sometime? I know I have poor credit at this time..but dang..is it THAT bad that they won't show me online? Now i have to make copies of my license and bills and crap and mail it all in.

They are just protecting you from idenity theft. I like the protection. Maybe there IS a mortgage account on your credit report that doesn't belong to you that is hurting your credit, KWIM?

I hope not. all i know is...we never took out any kind of loan. the only active account we have at the moment is our car payment to regional acceptance...and that wasn't even one of the choices. lol. all the rest is dead stuff or in collection.
