Our local Albertsons had mini shredded wheat, rice krispies and raisin bran for $1.67 - $1 coupon on box = $0.67 out the door.

I saw one couple buy 20 BOXES OF CEREAL and it only cost them $13.40

YMMV

I wish we had an Albertson's! My kids eat alot of cereal!LOL That's an excellent price, too, cereal has gotten too expensive without a coupon.

I was amazed at how cheap it was $0.67 per box, so cheap!

My wife said maybe next week, I told her all 400 or so boxes would be sold out by tomorrow morning.

I prefer other cereals but the cereals that we saw at our Albertsons was a really good sale item.

We got free choccies though...as it was Albertson's "extreme value buy of the week" and the cashier failed to mention that item to us so we got it free. Hershey's Pot of Gold chocolate box $8 value. :)

It's one of those peel off coupons I'm assuming? I'll have to check out my local Albertsons tomorrow. It's right next to the WalMart where I want to see if they have any TV's on sale.

MrsHoneybee, I have Albertsons here but usually shop at Ralphs (Kroger's to some of you) because of the double coupons, but had never heard of "extreme value buys of the week" - can you please tell me more about these? Thanks!

TrojanBecca - it's a small display at the cashier stand of a featured product of the week..I think it's just to get people to buy that particular item if they want it. Usually we decline the offer.

this week it was the Hersey's Pot Of Gold boxed chocolate...last week was a cat or dog Christmas stocking thingy...we took advantage of both because the cashier failed to mention them. :)

In the past they've had fruit snacks, pop tarts, mainly just little things.

Not too bad, especially since my wife loves making rice crispie treats with the kids while out of school.

Thanks RossMan!

Just can't compete with Wal-Mart I guess.... :( We are down to 3 grocery stores for 50,000+ people. 2 HEBs and a Wal-Mart.... Needless to say they are all packed on the weekends. We also have a Sams but since you have to be a member to enter the store I don't count it.
