They are backordered but I had to call to correct my mom's email address because I typed it in wrong. The guy was super nice and said it was the least he could do to correct my email, lol. Anyway, at the end I mentioned that the order status checker said it was backordered and would I get these by Christmas. He said, "They're a very popular item, but they could go off backorder in 10 minutes. You never know." I mentioned the December 6th delivery date and he said that he thought there was a very good chance they would still arrive by then. That would be nice. :)

I called Hallmark today---mine are still showing "backordered", the rep told me that the chances of them getting them in before the holidays are "very very very slim". I told her that I would give it a couple of more weeks, if I didn't have them by then, I would just cancel. Didn't really need them, but they would have made nice gifts for that "unexpected person".

I imagine they will start cancelling backordered ones if people call, yes. Otherwise I'd say we still have a good chance being it's been a few days. But since people are calling, don't get your hopes up too high. :)

Ummm....if your not interested don't check this thread...I can't speak for everyone, but, I like seeing the status of others orders, if someone posts that there item is shipped or cancelled or arrived, it helps me know whether or not to expect mine.

Ummm....if your not interested don't check this thread...I can't speak for everyone, but, I like seeing the status of others orders, if someone posts that there item is shipped or cancelled or arrived, it helps me know whether or not to expect mine.

I had ordered around 7:30 AM, and there were only two choices anymore of what to order....the shopping one, and the eat, drink, and be merry one. I ordered 10 of the Shopping Tins, but no, they never showed up as being backordered.

Weird thing is ......... I ordered right around 8 am and ppl that have ordered after me got their stuff or is in process. I got backordered:(

I ordered at 5:20 am PST (8:20 am EST). I placed two orders - the first one I placed (eat, drink, be merry) is backordered. But the second order I placed (not sure why I did two, waste of a dollar but anyway) for the shoppers kits says it was shipped (of course it said it was, yet the ship date is still three days away, lol).

I just got the same cancellation email. Check the order status does say that they shipped out the one "MAXINE'S MENOPAUSE SERVIVAL KIT" that I ordered (but not the other 9 tins that were backordered).

I wonder if they will give credit back for the $4.95 they charged or what.

My order showed up on my credit card.........but I got cancelled today...
so I don't know what's up.

Mine also was backordered. However, I checked my credit card this morning and they had charged my credit card 3 times!!! I called customer service and the lady said something about my card expires tomorrow and they wanted to make sure they got their money. Do what??? My card doesn't expire until 01/2007! I asked her if she had any information about when the tins would be available and she said "No ma'am. I'm just customer service, here to answer your questions. I don't work in shipping." I asked her did she think that I would be able to get them before Christmas, she said, "Ma'am, I don't know that either. again, I don't work in shipping." So I told her to just cancel my order and return the $14.85 to my credit card. The she says, "Well, that's probably best because these tins aren't coming in anyway."... now lady, you JUST told me 3 times that you don't work in shipping and you don't know when they'll be in and now you tell me they aren't coming?????

Interesting, I guess everyone who actually got the product Kudos to you, the rest just get the email. Funny, they didn't catch that before charging our CC's. I hate when they go back on something like this when they are the ones that made the mistake.

I called Hallmark and was told my package should be here either tomorrow or Weds and that he *thinks* the rest of my backordered items will be coming in within the next 2 weeks, but couldn't say so for a fact. He said I could call back on Friday and they should have more info on the backordered items.

Got same email. I've had terrible run ins with Hallmark in the past two years, so I wrote them back about those problems (which I've complained about before already) and then this. My situation is a bit different, just because with orders of flowers and such they've let me down (charging yet not delivering, or delivering a week late!). They charged my debit card for the original $8.95. It's cleared the bank already. This is going to be another "issue" like the Overstock one :(

I wonder why some people actually got their orders and others didn't, they made the goof, should of taken the hit and just sent them out. When they do stuff like this, it kinda of leaves a bad taste. Doesn't their people doing code actually check things out. By the way, this is the third online business that has done this lately, put in the wrong price etc and than retracted the deal when they get hit really bad. If something rang up like that in a store, they would give it to you and than fix it. Yep I've heard that on another site people were ordering TONS of them. I don't think they will lose any customers over this though. I mean if something like this happens again I'm sure a whole bunch of people will order from them again. Just MO!

I got 4 tins from my order today, and a cancellation notice for the backordered items.

I got a cancellation email the other day, I replied, no reply to that. Then I rec'd a more formal cancellation email today (not a reply, just a general email). I looked again on their site and the items that were backordered are now in fact cancelled. The other items say shipped but no shipping info has been provided to me?!

I didn't get any shipping info either, I knew mine were coming today because I called Hallmark.

One interesting thing, when ya'll were ordering, did it say there was a limit of 15? They knew people were ordering the items, when I first starting ordering, I put the eat and be merry ones in my cart and was looking to see if the others were available, when I went back to my cart, it said only 15 per order was allowed. I think they knew the code was working???? I don't think they put a limit on those when they were at regular price do they? Just curious......

I called about the cancelled order and they told me it was cancelled becasue they are out and won't be getting any more in - I asked if they intended to credit back my CC and they said they had bout the CC company takes about 7 to 10 days to show it.
