Walmart!

As odd as that is to say.....I was super impressed with them this year. Browny points first of all for being the only one of the 'big box' stores willing to PM. Everything was super organized thismorning at our store. Lots of everything in the add. Lots of SAs around that knew where the ad items were. The only thing I was disappointed with was the efficiency of the PMs. They required a SM to to come put a key in the register and it was crowded and the SM were busy so you had to wait around (which didn't make the people behind me inline happy). Otherwise though, A+ to Walmart :)

in all those categories besides customer service (not to mention crowd control) i have to say walmart - they had some of the best deals, not to mention pm'ing which saved me TONS of time, they advertised everywhere (& early), there were plenty of the hot items (excluding, of course, computers, but thay happens everywhere), & the checkout went faster than it would on a normal day!

for customer service i'd say kohls

Best Buy was great We had games contests and prizes (5$ gift cards). Let 200 in at a time very organized. People tried to get in line but they put a stop to that quickly. In and out in 20 mins getting everything I needed!!! Now Target was a ZOO!!!

Walmart was awesome this morning. The employees were VERY friendly and helpful, and it was incredibly organized and fair. I was truly impressed. I got in line at 3:30 am (I was 2nd) for the Gameboy Advance SPs, but was out of the store by 5:15. They had all the registers open and it was just great!

I have to say the Best Buy I went to today was the best. It was certainly worth the drive there. The manager even remembered us from buying a tv there a few days ago. The place was a total mob scene! The line for checkout started at the front, snaked through all the aisles, wound around the whole back length of the store, and back up to the front again. Employees were grabbing stacks of merchandise from the store room and walking around asking people in line if they needed what they had. Even though the store was small, they seemed to have more of what was on sale than the larger BB in my city. Even the other shoppers were nice and polite. No shoving, swearing, or line jumping. They even tolerated my baby screaming when my husband accidentally pulled her hair, and I rolled over this guy's foot with the stroller. I would have been punched at some of the other stores! My only "beef" is that they forgot to charge me for a monitor I bought and I will have to drive there again tomorrow to sort it out. I know most people would just keep it, but I can't enjoy anything if I didn't pay for it.

I was most impressed with Target. They didnt have the best deals, but when I got there 10am, they had everything I wanted. It was so organized, they were constanly restocking, and more than willing to help customers.

Target seems like the most organized of the stors year round also so this seems like no surprise to me.

Best Buy was the best. They kept the crowd under control and really created a fun/party atmosphere to shop in complete with music and a Santa Clause, lol. I went into Target after Best Buy and their checkout lines went all the way to back of the store and they didn't have very many cashiers. They seemed unprepared entirely for the amount of people they had there.

Staples. I won't go to OD again on BF. Didn't have decent prices at the Wal*Mart since I live in WI. I have already sworn off of going to BB on BF.

I was impressed with our new Walmart. They were organized and there was staff everywhere to help if you needed it. The only draw back was some items not rining up with BF prices but that was no biggie since I noticed it as things were being rung up and went directly to CS. Still was out of the store before 5:20 am

Walmart was great this year... a good amount of blitz available....I only WISH I had a Target in our city! The nearest one is an hour away..not close enough to warrant the drive when I have 5 Walmarts within 35 minutes.

Sears, even though what I wanted was no longer available they were able to order one thing and substituted another. Also, TRU was great because I was in and out in under 15 min. Needed two things and found a girl that guided me right to them. She was great.

Kohl's was VERY organized here. I liked the 1 line for 6 checkout system to make the wait time fair to everyone. All items in stock except the sewing machine.

Wal Mart had good quantities late morning.

Meijer had everything on the list-even a good selection of video games at 11:00.

Target was the pits-NOTHING in stock.

Staples! Very organized...manager came outside about 30 minutes prior to opening and handed out coupons to those in line for the items we wanted to buy. When 5am rolled around we were told if we had the coupon in hand we were getting the item. .....the doors opened and we were directed to the very back of the store (a stockroom blocked by a table), handed our coupons over, employees retrieved our items, and away we went with items in hand.

Compared to my Walmart and Target experience I say Staples did a very good job!:trampolin

Target didn't have doorbusters really. I'd still say them and Walmart are two of the best BF stores.. Best Buy and Circuit City were good as well, but the limited quantities of computers always sucks!!

I enjoyed Meijer, because it is a 24 hr store and we could wait inside and shop while we were waiting. I put most of what i wanted in my cart at about 3:30 a.m., and only had to wait until 5:00 a.m. for the mp3 player to be brought out. i was outta there by 5:17, in ample time to be first in line at radioshack in our local mall. hit that and sears, and still made it to office max before it opened at 7:00 a.m. wheee!!!

My Walmart out done themselves. Allow all the BF shoppers in the store at 1:30am to get any BF item from the pallets and put them in our carts. Only the Laptops were not available. $398 desktop computers on pallets, tvs, Portable Dvd/Cd players, toys, etc. No running or pushing to get items. I got to shop peacefully and w/o pressure.
Price matched all my items. (Walgreens lipsticks, coffee, and detergents).
Every register open. Got out of there quickly and cops in parking lot. One walked me as I was alone. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for the first BF

Toys R Us was amazing today. They are right next to my WalMart. I got there about 10 minutes before the stores opened and Toys R Us only had 10 people waiting outside. I got to Toys R Us at about 5:45 and it was nearly empty. I was able to find everything I needed and when I checked out I was second in line. It went very fast.

My target sucked today. I got there around 9:30 and they only had a few sets of womens pajamas, none any size I needed, no more sleeper blankets pajamas for boys and I couldnt find the 3 for $5 candy anywhere. I was happy that they opened up the video game cabinets and let you take what you needed instead of waiting for a employee to help you and unlock the doors.

Kohl's and then Target.

Both ran like well-oiled machines this morning, but I gave Kohl's the advantage because they offered doorbusters while Target didn't - although the prices at both places were GREAT.

I gotta say Toys R Us on this one. I drove by BB to see if it would even be worth it trying to get in when they opened and that was a joke. So, I went up to Toys R Us since they were not going to open for another hour. The line was barely there so I waited in the car with my 2 kids until 1/2 hour before they opened. The line started growing so we got out and only had to wait for about 15 minutes before they opened the doors early!!!!!! Yeah!!!!! Everything was neat and employees were all around and very helpful. I was in and out in 10 minutes flat......so unlike the 1 1/2 hours I was in the checkout line for BB.

TRU was also awesome - they had it nice and organized, and had a nice orderly SINGLE line for all the registers.

wal-mart was great... I'm glad best buy ended up being so full and I ended up with that HP... in hindsight it seems like the better of the two models for what I'm using it for, the basics.. better processor, better battery life, one year warrenty, and much better looking, not to mention there were more in stock and the store was open all night.

I have to say it was Kohl's. Even though I waited in line for 45 minutes to check out. It certainly didn't seem like that. The mall was horrible, I think that it housed the rudest people out that day. On my way home I stopped at another Kohl's to check out the rest of the sale. They had extended their early birds till 2:00! It was great!

Meijer wins hands down! We were there at 3:30am and got everything we wanted. No standing in the freezing cold for us there! We were the first people to check out at 5:01am :g_clap:

Target comes in a close second! Even though it was a major traffic jam inside the store, everyone was friendly, we helped some people out, and the employees were great! We waited in line there for maybe 10 minutes max!

Finding it difficult to say also, but Walmart
in SC did a fantastic job!
Lots of merchandise, lines for the hot items
like the laptop far away from where the other
stuff was, price matching, AND
unwrapping the pallets a few minutes
beforehand. :)

Plus, folks were just NICE to each other.
It was a great experience.

Sears. Plenty of advertised merchandise. Also KB. I had a wonderful shopping experience at KB Toys. It was so nice not to be in an over crowded store. Helpful employees at both Sears and KB.

Edited to add that the Walmart we went to was terrible. I don't think they had a good supply of the sales items because they were out of every single thing I went after. I must not have been the only person that was disappointed at Walmart. I heard plenty of people complaining about Walmart and their lack of merchandise while I was in Sears.

Besides Staples, Meijer is my favorite BF store. Meijer not only stocked up for their door buster items (even some left on Saturday), they put up a notice at the entrance saying they'll PM anything from other stores even doorbuster items. Does any other store go that far?

Def. Target, I didn't want to get up early and got to target about 5 pm friday. I got rain checks on some dvds I wanted and got a 5.5 quart crockpot for 19.99. I was so happy to get the crockpot. What a great deal. Also it seemed that the workers at Target had everything under wraps.

I did most of my shopping at Strawbridges on BF. I spent about 250.00 there, but bought over 600.00 dollars worth of stuff!!! I came home with some wonderful things! It seemed like everything was on sale and then I had a 20% off entire purchase coupon besides. I made out like a bandit!!!:eyepoppin
