If you haven't signed up, toy r us started their 12 days of Christmas today. They email you coupons to use in the store the first 12 days of the month. Today's are American Idol karaoke machine for $29.99, Fur real Scamps for $29.99, and lego's visorak's gate for $19.99.
If anyone knows anything about the karaoke machine, please let me know. 2 of the reviews weren't very good, and I am trying to decide whether to take the one I got at Best Buy on bf back and get this one. This one has a built in video camera which I think would be pretty cool.

I got my DD the American Idol karaoke machine last year. I wouldn't recommend it. It worked ok for her (she was 7) but, the picture is very low quality & we have had constant problems with the microphone. She would rather play her cd's & sing/dance in front of the mirror then to fool with it. If you have already purchased another one...I would recommend keeping what you have.

Once you have installed the software to print the coupons it will not let you print anymore .... even with different names, addresses, etc... My printer would not work ... and then when it would it told me it had expired ... only one per household... Finally went to my work and it let me print from there...

Went to get it though and was given the runaround about it! So never got to use it anyway!

I did get one of these and it was a very easy transaction. I called my local TRU and asked if they had it in stock and if they would hold one for me, which they did.......... AND I was able to use the $5 off coupon also, so I got it for $24.99 plus tax. Even if it's not the greatest, for $25 it's still worth it. I got one of the memorex last year for my daughter and it broke pretty quickly so at least I'll already have the extra microphone since this one has two jacks.

My 10 year old has one and she loves it. I am going to go get one for my 12 year old at that price, and one for my 4 year old. I paid $50 for one at Walmart for my 4 year old. I guess I'll be taking that one back.

this is great ... I got 2 video now colors for $10 at walmart in September... for a 6 year old and a 2 year old .... so guess they are going back and they are each getting new ones that are more age appropriate!

Went to Toys R Us to get the Furby and they were out of stock. There is a Sears behind my Toys R Us so went over there and they price matched for me plus 10% so I got my furby for $18.59. Yeah Sears!

I don't know why you all have not got your coupons yet. I got mine in my email "Friday, December 2, 2005 2:10 AM" VERY early this morning. We printed the Furby one.

Hubby just picked up a Furby at TRU for $19.99. He said they only have about 8 left. The notice posted by Furbies says "Limit One Per Customer". It is only 9:30 am here and he got to TRU about 20 minutes ago so it seems they are selling pretty quickly. If you want one of these deals print your coupon and get there QUICK!

I was going to try to link to the page that had the Furbie coupon in my email but the Furby coupon is gone. It must only let you print it once and then it dissapears.

It seems like a great deal for the Video Now. Does anyone know much about these? What age range are these for? I have 2 nieces age 2 and 5 and 1 nephew age 7 and a 10yo brother in law. Who should I get it for. OK going to do more research on it now.

I wasn't so lucky mine was $14.99 but i got two of those PVD and used the $5 of off $25 and the total was $27. saved over $50 :yay:

I also got mine for $4.99 and the media disc to burn from computer rang up for $12.99 instead of $16.99, so I ended up spending $19.15 with tax to get player and 4 discs to burn own media on, what a steal. Can't wait to see what they send tomorrow.

They said I needed to buy $25 worth on top of the xmas special to use the $5 off coupon. And that was coming from the store manager. :mad:

a co worker went during lunch to buy for both of us (together thought we could use the $5 coupon) they hassled her for buying 2 and she ended up asking a stranger in the store to buy the one for her, even though she paid for it...she said they were poed. but we both got our players!:gd_pineap

I'm glad my mom lives close to my work (umm yep guilty -- I'm at work). I joined, printed out the coupon, called TRU and they wouldn't hold one (no big surprise). Then I called my mom -- she came to my work got the coupon and my cc went to TRU and got one. Now she is home printing out another coupon for my son (first one was for my daughter) -- she hid one of the players TRU because they only had 3 or 4 left. Soon she will be heading back out to get the other one.
My only hope is that, since she has my cc, she doesn't get encourged to "see what else she can find"!!!!!!

make sure your popup blocker is disabled, then download the software to print the coupon, then check which one you want and push print. remember you can only chose 1 coupon to use each day. Good luck

nope.... just bought the karaoke machine. i gave the cashier the coupon and she said i don't know if this will work or not, but i'll try.... put the coupon code info in and it went through.... so no problem there.

So for those of you who have price matched at different stores, did you show them the email or the coupon?

I have twin neices wanting this badly and I forgot to set my printer to print two copies and now I am out of luck.

Here's my story... I took my coupon to WalMart to price match since Toys R US is about 30 minutes from me. Anyways long story short they would not price match it. They said it was an in store coupon, I said "aren't all sales ad's in store" ANyways the lady was less than friendly and made me feel like I was trying to steal from them. I decided to go on to Toys R Us and they were out of the Jr one and had 2 XP's left. I got one for my oldest niece, I'm going to my other WalMart tonight to see if they have the Jr and ask if they will price match.......:-)

Just got my Video Now XP for $14.99...i didn't find out about it until 8:30 PM so I was a little worried that they would be sold out. To my suprise, there wasn't any sign of being sold out anytime soon...the shelve was completely stocked!!!

I was able to get two, but I had to ring them up separately. I also had a couple of other items that allowed me to use my $5 off $25. I got both Video Now XPs for around $11.00 each. They had plenty of pink left. I got one pink and the last gray. I was even able to share my coupon with the lady behind me. She found a blue one and bought it. She was extremely happy.

I got one for 14.99!! I had to hurry and get there, as I didn't log onto here until around 9:15 and TRU closes at 10. When I called, they had 3 left, so I begged them to hold one and they did. This was a great deal!! It is normally $60.

I took my coupons to Walmart about 15min closer to me than TRU and when I got to the register I told the kid I called and they said they'd price match these. Which I did call and ask if they price matched TRU and they said yes, I wasn't specific. So a csm came over and they put them through no problem and I even was lucky enough to get a bonus videonow jr with 2 full disks and a carrying case! Got a white Furby with a purple belly and brown eyes,lol. Hope someone posts as soon as they find out what tomorrows special is! Excellent regarding the Morph'nator. I have been looking for an R/c car for my 6 yr old nephew. Not cheap looking, but not costing a lot! They are usually $50 on Amazon. Does the coupon say if it is 49 or 27 mhz? You can't use 2 of the same mhz at the same time, or even in the same room.

They usually have it written on one of the front corners of the box at the store and I find that most stores have 2 different signals.

JanetThomas1, if you have a cd writer on your computer you can write your own movies to discs that they sell for the video now. A package of 4 blank discs with the software costs something around $13 at TRU. That's what i'm doing instead of shelling out $10 per movie.

Really strange that I got the first 2 days, but then not today, was not interested in items today, but still want to get the other 9, hope it shows up tomorrow.

I am not getting my emails from TOYSRUS either but the past two days I have logged back to the original site toysrusemail.com and signed back up each day. It then takes you to a page where you click to view and print the coupons at that time. It knows i haven't printed them yet for the day so it lets me do all three then. If I try to go back again the same day, it will not let me print them.

I got the Video Now yesterday and the ELMO and CD player today. What great deals! I am really impressed with their specials this year.

I got 2 Elmo's and the CD player but I couldn't use the $5 coupon. I tried getting all 3 on one ticket but one Elmo rang up at the sale and the other one ran up at reg price. I only bought one elmo on the first ticket but I reused the coupon on a seperate ticket for another elmo.

I got the Morphonator and CD player as well. The CD player is going into the Toys for Tots bin since most of the donations are for younger children. I used the 12 days coupons, the $5 coupon, and the 30% off of clothes or shoes coupon and had no problems. Their slippers were already 30% off, plus the coupon! It's a good thing I bought an extra pair of for my daughter since we lost one shopping tonight.

I didn't really care about today's deals. Yesterday was an awesome day with the Video Now! I got a Video Now Jr at one location and a blue Video Now XP at another location. I bought the blank cd package, that was a great idea! I also bought 3 XP cartoons and 3 Video Now Jr videos. The Video Nows rang up $59.99 before coupon, just amazing that it was $14.99. I had a $5 off $25 coupon and a $10 gc, so that even saved me more!

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised. But when you consider that people had to sign up to get these, have to print and bring in the coupon, and use it on and only on that date, I think they can afford to discount the hot items in order to draw those few die-hard customers in the store (let's face it; those who would actually sign up for the deals and run into the store the same day as they receive the coupon would have to be a little bit of a shopaholic, so they're banking on those people buying other stuff in the store, and even if not, they are doing their best to get you in their store 12 days in a row...which is a pretty good feat no matter what price you're charging on an item).

I bought the LeapFrog Letter toy today. Printed no problem. Yesterday when I initially downloading software needed for printing I had major problems. Im sure my niece will love this!

I would call and talk to a manager. Explain to them what is going on. Mine won't print out the barcode either. I called and explained it to the manager and she let me use it fot the CPK. Never hurts to ask.

I can select the printer and add the number of copies. Hope this helps someone to get numerous coupons. It does print your name on each one, but I just went to different cashiers. Before I get flamed :argue_cur , I only used this for the Video Now players. I have 3 kids, how can I give one to one and not the others, not really fair. I am going to email TRU about this, for one, don't they know we WILL figure out a way to print more than one coupon? And, don't they KNOW some of us have more than one child???????

I love the extra $5 off after all the other coupons. Today I got the Magnet thing for $9.99...then a Dora Pajama set that was orig. $17.99....with all the coupons I ended up getting both of those for a total of $14....full price would have been $38.

My local Walmart only considers Kmart it's competitor and will only price match Kmart ads! Even them they are picky....it has to be clear the price, they do no %'s. Our TRU is only about 40 miles away from them too!

Is this a decent MP3 player? (yes, i am tech. dumb!!)

It doesn't hold much .. only about 4 hours of music .. I think. But if it's for a younger child or a tween .. it's okay. It's tiny too .. and cute ..

Call your local TRU and ask a manager. Mine let me use one without the barcode.

I just found out today that I have been using the face sheet instead of the actual coupons for the 20% clothes. I did it 3 times and was wondering why they were getting pissy with me. :D

I don't know about the 12 days coupons because they are for such a large percentage off, and your name is printed on them. It's worth it to just print the face sheet off and ask them anyway.

Today the Toys R Us had the MP3 player on sales, using the coupon. I have two in town so I called the first one and they said that they were out. I called the second one and they said that they had two. I work only 10 blocks form the store, I asked if they would hold one for me that I was getting my coat on to come and get one. The person said that they could not hold one, I said I would be right there to get one. Well when I got there they said that they had just sold the two that was left. But they had one and was holding it for someone else. The person went home to print off the coupon, and would be right back. So I shopped around for a half hour and the person still had not showed up. I ask them to sell it to me and they told me no. I asked to talk to the manager. He was very rude and would not sell it to me. When I got home I called the 800 number and they said they could not do anything about it. I will not shop there again! I was told that the store only had 6 in stock so is this a switch and bait deal? I was also told that the employees were taking all of the good deals for themselves. So what good is to have signed up for the 12 days of humbug?

Exactly my first thought too.

I got an MP3, a pair of slippers for my 5 year old and a pack of sour candy to send to hubby in Iraq all for $22! I used the 20% off clothing and the $5 off $25 so the MP3 was only $16.11 (77% off!), the $9.99 slippers were $3.86. The other day I got the CD player for $3.48, two color wonder items for $4.86 and the ELMO for $6.93 - total = $16.72! I have had great experiences with TRU this year! I can't wait to see what comes next (although the person with the inside info appears to be correct!)!

I looked all over & could not find the MP3. I asked the first employee I saw in electronics, he said 'Nope. Were all out. We sold the last one a while ago'. I was dissappointed and left forgetting to get the doll. Around 340 pm, I thought maybe they have one at another TRU within driving distance, so I called my local TRU. It took forever for her to check but when the girl got back on I was ASTONISHED! She said 'Well I show we have some in stock now here, let me transfer you to electronics'. The guy that answered said there were no more. I asked is he 100% sure that none are in the back. Yep was his reply. Then I told him the CS gal said that she said she just checked and there were some in stock. He then tells me 'Well there's no more for sale. We do have a few on hold for associates, but none for sale'. HUH??? I told him goodbye as I was angry. I called back again and relayed the info he told me to the CS gal. She really didn't answer me as to whether this is an acceptable policy of there's, so I got the corporate number and her first name. I called corporate, explained every phone call & details. She was astonished. She said they can not do that. And that I need to call and tell the store mgr that this is going on as for sure the mgr has no idea it is. She said if I get no where then to call corporate back. I called the store mgr and told her everything, she then asked me to hold on a minute. When she came back on she was extremely apologetic. She said that associates/employees ARE NOT eligible for these deals and ARE NOT to hold ANY of these special items for anyone. She said that they did indeed have 1 that she found that was holding for an employee, that it was the pink one and that she was going to hold it for me to come get. She said she'd be there all night. Again VERY apologetic. Went to the TRU, asked for the mgr and again very apologetic, she gave me the MP3 I asked if they had any of the dolls left, she helped me find the perfect one. Now once I did check out I don't think the $5 off coupon took it off right but I figured oh well, this was already a complete mess. So I am now happy to say that yes I did get the MP3 but after much hassle.
So, if you are told there are no more left, ask the CS or Mgr to check in the comptuer system. If you don't get correct info call corporate.

This is very true. We are not allowed to hold anything as associates (especially during the holidays) but we also have a policy of during the holidays we can not hold anything for customers either b/c just like the previous post where she was told that they couldn't hold and then got there and they were holding (we get in a lot of trouble at my store for that) it causes problems with the guests who just come in and want to buy 1. You have to forgive the CS at the front because usually they start there in Oct or Nov and they start out as cashiers and then after a day of training w/ a not so good CS associate they are put at the service desk, I hate when this happens at my store. I have worked at my TRU for 5 years and it took me a whole year of being a cashier to finally be at CS, glad I am not in that position any more. They just changed the policy of seasonal help being at CS last year. I am sorry you all had a bad experience at your TRUs and with corporate but if you ever visit GA come to the Douglasville store and you will see not all TRUs are like that. I have been very lucky with the electronics coupons. I have managed to get the last CD player and 256MB MP3 player. What I really need is the 512MB MP3 and they didn't have any in stock yesterday. Now I know to ask if they are holding any for the employees.

I really hope the 22' bike is for real. Definetly keeping my eyes open as they are out of order now.

I'm waiting for Bella Dancerella too. Got up extra early to check for the e-mail and was very disappointed to see just the one coupon. Hopefully, it'll show up tomorrow and hopefully it'll be under $15 (wishful thinking).
