Thanksgiving Day sales ads...when do they come out?

I'm having trouble remembering exactly when the ads for the Thanksgiving Day sales (Meijer, Big Lots, Kmart) actually get released. Will they be in the paper tomorrow with the regular ads or do they usually show up in Monday's or Tuesday's paper?

Thanksgiving Day? I seem to remember getting them earlier and being able to plan well in advance what (if any) stores I wanted to hit. It seems like very short notice to have ads for sales that start at 5 AM or 6 AM in a newspaper that arrives right about that time.

I don't remember, but it's probably in the archives from last year if you search.

I know it's not the same, but for Meijer you can check the website - SuperSaturday sales usually post on Thursday, so the Thanksgiving DAY sale would probably post by Tuesday.

We get ours the day of T-day. Never seen them sooner.

They've always come out in the Thanksgiving Day newspapers.....the day BEFORE Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

Gives you a day to actually peruse the "real" ads and plan. It's done this way, I suppose, to give as little time as possible to consumers to make long-range plans.

Those Thanksgiving Day newspapers are HUGE!!! Worse than normal Sunday papers.

Since we don't have a TDay paper (our local paper even took the day off for Veteran's Day! :insane: ), all of our ads (TDay & BF) come out in Wednesday's paper.

I think most of them come out tomorrow, mark.

He is asking about the sales on THURSDAY, Not friday. Doesnt make much sense to put thursdays sales in the thurs paper, now does it? lol

I just bought tomorrows paper and it has NO Black Friday ads. There is a Micro Center ad but its not for Friday.

Usually here the Walmart ad comes in the mail so many days before Thanksgiving & the rest of the ads are in the paper on Thanksgiving. Years ago the Walmart ad here would be in the Thanksgiving paper but they changed it. I havent gotten the Walmart ad yet. Hoping it comes Monday.

Ok, tomorrows K-Mart ad is good thru November 23. There is no ad for after that date.

where I am in Michigan we usually get the thanksgiving day ads on Wednesday along with the bf ads

All ad's should start rolling out in your Sunday's paper leading all the way up to Thursday edition of the paper.

Mark - I covered some of this in the what ads are you still waiting for thread, but both kmart ads (T-DAY & BF) were apparently in wed paper last year and you of all people were the one who posted that biglots was in wed paper. Items for the meijer t-day sale were posted on Wed.
