Do you find yourself writing out more checks for bills or paying things electronically.

If you pay electronically do you have automatic reoccuring payments or do you approve each transaction?

Well, I guess I should respond as well.

Everything is electronic, except for child support :(

No "regularly scheduled" checks for me either. Still on the first box of checks that I got 7-8 years ago, lol.

I would be too, but after the third time my bank was bought in 3 years, PNC changed my account number from 7 digits to 10 and I had to get new checks. Bastards.

Paper check for mortgage & some other misc stuff (kid's school fees etc)

Electronic/credit/debit card for everything else.

But, I stay away form the auto debit programs, especially after I read about the guy who died 2 years ago & wasn't discovered till recently because all his bills were on an automatic plan... (plus I keep hearing horror stories about those plans gone wrong)

I only have 1 ACH payment setup, from my bank cc. Otherwise I prefer to mail in the payment when I am ready.

Chris' Jeep Visa needs an actual check, even if we pay it over the phone or online! Water is a small local company (we only do electric thorugh Jacksonville Electric Authority even though they run the water as well- just not in ourneighborhood) and that is about the only check we write. Just about everything else is online.

I pay the cable (Computer hook up) and the rent by check. Everything else has been done on line for years now. Good news is the canle just started electronic payments so I'm sure I'll have that set up by the next payment time.

i pay everything online but my trash service :-) even my mortgage and car payment take online payments through ACH :-) It's cool!! I have to use checks with the kids stuff from school though--except now stuff like the school pictures and letterman's jacket and yearbook company's are taking CC's too--but I don't trust them, so I send them checks too :-)

We don't even have checks. Our "checking" account is a "transaction-only" account--meaning it works as a checking account but does not give us checks. That would be an extra $3/mo fee which we refuse to pay. (The credit union sucks...we have direct deposit and everything...and still no free checking account.) So I pay everything that I can online. Car insurance I pay in person and cable is paid over the phone (free).

I write checks for my cc but I think due to the Check 21 law they show up as an electronic payment.
