too bad CompUSA isn't really near me, DVD+R and wireless keyboard and mouse are nice!
You should post that here, along with uploading scans of the ads, if any:
http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Submit
You will be rewarded for giving gottadeal an exclusive. somehow.
Also, do you have any details on the hours of each item? Since it is a 24-hr sale, I'm assuming different items will be at different times.

Googled the model number, and it is for sale at the following link for 599.
EDIT: (I cant believe it, I cant even post a URL link.)
# Specifications Intel Celeron® M Processor 370 [1.50GHz, 1MB L2, 400MHz FSB]
# Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition
# 256MB PC2700 DDR333 SDRAM (256MBx1)
# 15.0" Diagonal XGA Display (1024 x 768)
# ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® 9000 IGP with 64MB DDR shared graphics memory, user adjustable to 128MB
# 40GB HDD (5400rpm)
# CD-RW/DVD-ROM Multifunction drive
# Atheros® wireless-LAN (802.11b/g)
# 1 Year Standard Limited Warranty
CompUSA is the place I camped out last year, and was extremely frugal and only spent about 150 dollars. This year might be closer to a grand, depending on what other deals get released.
I will probably pick up 5 or 6 of the 250GB HD's, maybe the Laptop, (Although it was entry level last year I would assume it just needs to be cleared out this year.)
Might pick up the ATI All in Wonder card, been wanting to get one for a friend, and its about 60-70 off most places you can get it online, nearly 100 at others.
Also might get the 180$ LCD screen, if it is the right model. There are two version on CompUSA's website, one of which is an extremely cheap quality one it looks like with a 25MS response time, however the other one looked pretty solid.
Will also pick up atleast one of the wireless keyboard/mouse sets at 15 bucks a pop, and probably that MX1000 to give to somebody, I bought mine for 80 and still love it.

Model number is A80-S178TD if you wouldnt mind, please google for it, switch over to the froogle page, and it should be the first link. (toshibadirect.com or something of the sort)
It would be much appreciated seeing as how I cannot post links.

You should be able to post links now. We do that to prevent a lot of the automated vBulletin bot spammers from spamming us. We used to get a few of those attacks each week but requiring a few posts before posting URLs has pretty much stopped it. :banana01:

I know that they do their weekly sale ads online as well, though their online stock usually sells out quite quickly.
However I do not recall being able to get their BF deals online last year. (But someone correct me if im wrong.)

Thanks for the model number and specs. I like Toshiba's better than HP's and the freebie's are a nice addition. Can't wait to see what Circuit City has now. Are there any rebates involved with the CompUSA deal?
I seem to remember CompUSA doing their BF items online. At least I think they did two years ago. I can't remember last year.

I would assume the deal is without rebates because there are other things, (like the DVD blanks) that specify after rebate. In the posts I have seen.

I'm wondering if the AR was missed when the loptop was posted since toshiba has a $100.00 rebate on this model which doesn't expire until the end of the year. The laptop normally sells for $699 before rebate. Wouldn't it be oh so sweet if the $399 was before the rebate? Oh well, I can dream can't I....

This one looks pretty good. I'm trying to hold out for a great deal on one with a DVD-RW. :crossfing Everything I've looked at the last few weeks is $900 and up. That's a lot of $$ just to be able to sit on the couch and burn a dvd/surf the web!!

Can someone come up with it?
burmafrd
11-8-2005, 6:54 AM
From what I can find, the CompUSA Toshiba has the edge in HD (5400 rpm vs 4200), and software. The walmart HP might have the edge as regards processor, and sound (Altec Lansing vs Realtek). HP vs Toshiba- that is a judgement call as regards quality, though HP would get the nod by most.
pickem- though I guess one could say the risk to life and limb by shopping at CompUSA is less then at Walmart.
Second ad details have been posted, but they were not able to confirm either of them legitimate since ad scan is not yet arrived in their hand.

Until any of these can be confirmed, we are not going to post them on the main BF site. We were doubtful of the list that came out last night which is why they were not posted immediately.

Which I hope is the case, because the 2nd list is pretty much the usual run of the mill deals they have going on from week to week. (Nearly everything with a rebate that is.)
