RossMAN 8-26-2004, 12:04 PM Insurance is a necessary evil.
1) Who is your insurance carrier (assuming it's a national or regional provider)?
2) How much do you pay monthly or bi-anually for your 1 vehicle?
3) What is your gender, age and marital status?
4) Were you involved in any accidents or received any tickets in the past 3 years?

2) $2400 a year on an 03 Honda Civic EX with a $2000 deductible.

New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance is hands down the best insurance company in NJ, but they're really hard to get into. You have to work for certain member companies, you can't have had any tickets or accidents in the last 3 years, etc. - but once you're in, you're in for life. When my girlfriend switched to them, her rates went from $2400 a year to $1200 a year. I gotta get married. :)

i have no idea.
and yes they do. i got 10% off the renter's policy and an additional 7% off my car insurance. you need to speak to your agent though. my renter's insurance is only 200 for the year.
RossMAN 11-27-2004, 3:10 AM I'll have to call my local AAA office and request a quote.
OMG! Thats horrible. The deductable itself is unbelievable.
The amount we've saved since we switched to the higher deductible is more than the extra $1500 it would cost if we got into an accident... but you do have to be prepared to actually PAY $2000 if you get in an accident. :)

Good point but we could never pay $2k out of pocket. We're comfortable with a reasonable $500 deductible.
