I asked this at AT and got nada so maybe I'll have better luck here.

The GF got a system made by Zenith that included:

VHS and DVD/CD Players (DVD-R compatible)
MP3 Decoder
FM Tuner
5 Speaker System (including Subwoofer)
Remote
Looks very similar to this:

well on the very cheap end you have something like this (no VCR though):

which has everything you want and the great Toshiba brand name. but if you need to stay around $250, there is this Magnavox model:

but the Toshiba would be well worth the extra $50 if you can swing it. these are just from amazon (and it looks like they sell that zenith set you have pictured for $299) so you might find better prices elsewhere. i can't find the toshiba much cheaper elsewhere, especially when you factor in free shipping and no tax in most states.

amazon also has this samsung system for $279:

which should be comparable to the toshiba and a little cheaper. only 1 left in stock as of this post though, so order if you want it.
