I am in the market for a 1gb or (hopefully) 2gb flash thumb drive. I was looking at sandisk minicruz. I don't care if rebates are involved so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Buy.com has the Lexar 1gb for $75 - $20 MIR. Plus, IIRC...they have a 10% coupon floating around.

I entered "2gb flash drive" in froogle and this seems to be the best price for a 2.2GB Flash Drive = $75 +S&H
