rules: THE SKIPPY® GREAT PUMPKIN SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES,
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
1. Sweepstakes Period: The Skippy® Great Pumpkin Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on September 15, 2009 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on January 31, 2010 (the "Sweepstakes Period").
2. How To Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, you must enter by visiting www.peanutbutter.com (the "Website") and submitting all required entry information. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address, per day. All entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on January 31, 2010, to be included in the random drawing. Normal Internet access, phone/usage charges imposed by your on-line/phone service will apply. All entries must be complete to be eligible. All entries become property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
3. Random Drawing: Potential winners will be selected on or about February 12, 2010, in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted by an independent judging organization, Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible online entries received. Prizes will be awarded and winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. Prizes and Approximate Retail Values ("ARV"): Grand Prize (1): A 4-day/3-night trip for four (4) to Bryson City, North Carolina. Trip includes round-trip coach class air transportation from the major United States airport nearest to Grand Prize winner’s home to destination city, three (3) nights Sponsor-selected hotel accommodations (based on quad occupancy), 1 day admission tickets for four (4) people for a trip on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad to the Peanuts Great Pumpkin Patch, and $2,000 spending money for Grand Prize winner, awarded in the form of a check (ARV: $5,800). In the event the Grand Prize winner lives within a 150-mile radius of destination city, round-trip ground transportation will be provided in lieu of air transportation and no additional compensation will be provided. Actual retail value of Grand Prize may vary due to winner’s state of residence and fares at time of travel. Trip must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor; dates of departure and return are subject to change. First Prizes (100): A Sponsor-selected Peanuts DVD (ARV: $19.98 each). Limit one (1) prize per person/email address. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Prizes may be substituted for any reason at the discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable. Taxes, if applicable, related to the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
5. Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 13 years of age and older (18 years of age or older for residents of Maine) as of date of entry. Employees of Conopco, Inc., d/b/a Unilever ("Sponsor"), Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and judging agencies and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, assigns, and all others associated with the development, evolvement and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively "Sponsor and its Administrators") and the immediate family members of each, are not eligible to participate or win. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.
6. General Rules: Grand Prize winner will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (where legal) within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. If Grand Prize Winner is a minor in his or her state of residence, his or her parent or legal guardian must execute and return the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (where legal) and will be required to travel as one of Grand Prize Winner’s travel companions. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and alternate selection. Grand Prize airline tickets are for travel from major airport in the United States nearest Grand Prize winner’s home to the destination city. Airline carrier's regulations and conditions apply. Grand Prize trip may not be combined with any other offer and travel may not qualify for frequent flyer miles. Grand Prize winner and travel companions must travel together on the same itinerary. Travel companions of Grand Prize winner (or parent/legal guardian if a travel companion is a minor) will be required to execute a Release of Liability prior to departure. Grand Prize winner and travel companions must possess valid travel documents (i.e., valid photo ID, etc.) in order to travel. Certain restrictions and blackout dates apply. Seat selection and timing of trip subject to availability and confirmation of reservations. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. All other expenses and costs, not expressly listed above, including, but not limited to, taxes, tips, entertainment, transfers, and transportation to airport to and from winner’s home residence are Grand Prize winner's sole responsibility. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants (and their parents or legal guardians if entrant is a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to be bound by the official rules and the decisions of the judges. Online entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, Online Service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor and its Administrators are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or Website; violates the official rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Entries generated by script or bot as determined by the Sponsor at its sole discretion are not eligible. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes if it is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other problems beyond the control of the Sponsor and award prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Winners and all entrants (and their parents or legal guardians if winner/entrant is a minor in his/her state of residence), as a condition of entry into the Sweepstakes, agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and judging agencies and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, assigns, and all others associated with the development, evolvement and execution of this Sweepstakes from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with submitting an entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Sweepstakes, the receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded, or while preparing for, participating in or traveling to or from any prize-related activity or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement of offering of any prize.
