My son really wants a nice keyboard for christmas. He has a cheapie one now. Pretty small with no options for sound effects etc. He fell in love at walmart with one that was $178. I really don't want to pay over $100. My neighbor used to be in a band and has offered to give him lessons so I want one that is of good size. Should I check the pawn shops besides stores? My husband thought maybe I could find one there. Of course Im not sure if I want to go that route. can someone find a great deal on a keyboard?! Thanks.

Do you have a Guitar Center? They always have AWESOME sales around BF.

You should also check to see if you have a Music-Go-Round or a Music Recyclery in your area. You can get a much better used keyboard for that price range than anything new.

Also, check out craiglslist.org. I know there are at least a couple of OH locations there.

No prob! Hope you find what you are looking for! Also, if they dont have it, just wait. They do REALLY awesome sales about 4 times a year...Thanksgiving is usually one of them. If I remember, they do it for 3 days straight. Surely you will find one then as well.

TY! My son got an electric guitar w/ amp last year. This year is a keyboard. Not sure where he's going with this (God I hope a band isn't in the future) LOL, but this is what he wants for this big gift this year (Each of our kids get to pick one "big" item. Not necessarily size, but price.
