I have a Canon Elura 80, and I would like to capture the video by running from the Dv port on the camera to the firewire port on my PC. Anyone know where I can get a good cable at a decent price? The local B&M's seem to all sell the Monster cables and the knock off's, and they are all $30 or more, because of the gold connectors. What a rip-off.

Radio Shack B&M has firewire cables on clearance for $14.95 (originally $49.99) that's worth a shot.

I'll stop on my way home. I only saw their Monster Cable knockoff on their website, and they are $34.99.

I would definitely stop at Radio Shack B&M on your way home.
I just discovered I was looking at the wrong cable (item 15-1063) but it's still worth a look.

Oh, have I got a deal for you. :)
Do you need a 6pin to 4pin or 6pin to 6pin?
FireWire Cables (http://digidepot.safeshopper.com/28/cat28.htm?190)
I think shipping is around $3.95.

Perfect! I could use that PCMCIA card as well. :g_thumbri
Wow, it took 10 days for them to process the order. I just got my order confimation today, but no shipping confirmation. The price was right, but they have got problems with processing orders, that's for sure.

That's odd - when I ordered from them before, I think I got my confirmation within a few hours, and I got the product within a week....
Keep us posted. :)
It finally shipped. A full 17 days after I ordered. I'm glad I'm getting my stuff, but it's not a good way to run a business.
