View Full Version : What vehicle do you use for BF? hpowers 10-6-2005, 11:11 AM We always take my Expedition and take the back seat out. We have drove home before with stuff under our feet and absoulutely no room left for another bargain. AuntJamelle 10-6-2005, 11:19 AM Hubby and I usually go together and we take his Ford F1-50. Plenty of room in the extended cab or under the tunnel cover in the truck bed. This year I am going to be gonig alone for the first time, DH has to work, so I will just have my Nissan Altima. I need to get those snow tires out of the trunk! :cheesy: SueInCali 10-6-2005, 11:26 AM Matters on the gameplan. I usually do the BF shopping (hubby is a wuss). I take the 4 Runner usually. Makes me feel more in control riding so high, knocking cars and people out of the way to get a primo parking spot. haha mrn8 10-6-2005, 11:41 AM I prefer small cars for BF, since I have yet to buy any of the large items like TVs or computers. When I had my Tempo, I was able to manuever easily through crowded lots and park in the compact car spaces. The last couple of times, we went in my SIL's minivan, which worked fine, especially since there were 4 of us shopping. Steakgoddess 10-6-2005, 11:43 AM This year i'll be in my Jeep Liberty. Last year, I teamed up with my aunt and we were in her minivan. Tracy72 10-6-2005, 11:52 AM I take my van with me...lots of room in there..lol RossMAN 10-6-2005, 12:14 PM Our Honda Accord sedan which has a decent sized trunk. Kandy 10-6-2005, 1:02 PM Grand Marquis mrn8 10-6-2005, 1:36 PM Grand Marquis LOTS of trunk space in those! We've got a Crown Vic, and if I go with anyone this year, we'll probably use that. Deals4Me 10-6-2005, 2:09 PM Okay, I think I win for the worst vehicle to use... in fact, I KNOW I do. :yup: Ours is a Kia Rio. Yep tiny car right? Oh but it gets worse... I assure you. :yup: The trunk has a piece of my key stuck in it... Cant get it out nor can I afford 150 JUST for the lock. (labour....oh dear gawd...) AND the drivers side door, the latch is broken. Meaning the lock is jammed. SO my 300 lb, 6ft hubby has to climb OVER the passenger seat...EVERYTIME. And he's been doing this since my son was 2 months old...and hes about to be 3. SO I WIN! Not exactly something I wanted to win...its pathetic... Did I mention we plan on buying AT least a 27 inch TV, (I'm hoping for 32...)and when we bought our 20 in, it was hell? elena_398 10-6-2005, 2:10 PM I take my minivan. Great storage and it has light tinted windows. No peeking in the parking lots where I already have made purchases. Booterbunz 10-6-2005, 3:24 PM SO my 300 lb, 6ft hubby has to climb OVER the passenger seat...EVERYTIME LOL @<hidden> Deals!!! I'll be taking the minivan this year with the backseat out! LOL Just in case! I may switch carseats though, my dd's carseat is a booger in the van but is super quick and easy in the vitara! Whatever time I can save with a toddler, I'll take! LOL brynnfromtheblock 10-6-2005, 6:38 PM We take the van and make sure to take all the carseats out... you never know what you're going to end up with. outnumbered 10-6-2005, 6:51 PM I take the minivan that I always drive...I leave the seats in. I've never bought anything so big that I would need to remove seats to get it to fit. mommy2twingles 10-6-2005, 7:12 PM We take the Expedition with the back seat out and the middle seats folded down amez74 10-6-2005, 7:44 PM A couple of yeas ago we took our mini van--we took out the seats we didn't need to give extra room. Last year we took my sister in law's envoy and folded down the seats we didn't use. This year however we are planning on taking our avalanche. The three of us can sit in the front and that leaves the whole rest of the truck. Both my sister in laws are big shoppers lol--okay maybe I am too. We're pretty excited--last year the envoy was so full we thought someone would have to be left behind:gd_steeri Amy lauralee 10-7-2005, 12:24 AM The minivan with seats out!! teresa92 10-7-2005, 12:42 AM Minivan with the 3rd row seat out Gumball 10-7-2005, 1:15 AM GMC Jimmy Aaron 10-7-2005, 3:45 AM Just my normal car Hummingbird 10-7-2005, 5:42 AM My DH doesn't go with me anymore so i take may car. A Monte Carlo. The trunk space is huge and the back seat is pretty big also. I've never went to purchase the huge iems like a tv or computer. So my vehicle is big enough. Keebelf 10-7-2005, 10:25 AM Jeep Wrangler soft-top. Chris has been able to get pretty much front row parking with the ability to squeeze into places that only a Wrangler or a Motorcycle can get to. Who needs space for doors to open when you can take the doors off or even the top off. It doesn't get that cold down here and Chris is from Virgiia so he is used to colder temps. hpowers 10-7-2005, 11:45 AM I do like that when you purchase a large item at sears, you can wait 30 days to pick it up. That can help a lot when T.V.'s are on sale! BigBob 10-7-2005, 12:02 PM Last year I drove my bright red pickup truck. Even with that eye-catching vehicle I still had fever ridden, shopping dazed, bargain hunting maniacs try to run me off the road. This year I'm hoping my D10 Caterpillar bulldozer is delivered in time for BF morning. :D :holiday01 hpowers 10-7-2005, 12:08 PM This year I'm hoping my D10 Caterpillar bulldozer is delivered in time for BF That would be hilarious!! SynthDude2001 10-8-2005, 3:37 AM Pontiac Bonneville... ('92 SE last time, '94 SSEi this year) Has a ton of space, but I don't have the money to come anywhere close to filling it ;) coneeny4 10-8-2005, 6:23 AM I have a Rav 4 but I take my husbands Grand Marquis. I need to hide the Santa presents I buy in the trunk and take them out when my kids are not around. diane175 10-8-2005, 2:57 PM Ford Explorer with tinted windows (to hide Santa's stash) and fold down rear seats! :) The more room the better! elena_398 10-9-2005, 11:17 AM My minivan. We just recently had it steam cleaned so one of the seats is out. I told my husband not to put it back in till after BF! Need the room! dealluvr 10-9-2005, 3:46 PM 1990 geo storm ,with the seat down of course! dealluvr 10-9-2005, 3:47 PM :2roller: 1990 geo storm ,with the seat down of course! dealluvr 10-9-2005, 3:49 PM 1990 geo storm freesia39 10-9-2005, 4:54 PM my trusty honda civic, since i don't buy that much. i think last year i took that to fry's, but i wasn't buying anything large, just a bunch of parts. the hardest part was finding a shopping cart to throw all the parts in. blakes_mommy 10-10-2005, 9:34 AM I take my minivan as well, the tinted windows help! Rebirth 10-10-2005, 12:14 PM My friends drove last year. Two cars. This year, we all have better or stable jobs but we're all kinda broke. Last year, I think we had more money to spend. lol JazzMama 10-10-2005, 12:24 PM The only things I buy on BF are the really bottomed-out priced toys or stocking stuffers (the other I buy now online and at sales). So, since I don't have anything big to carry, I just take my Taurus. It's easier to whip in and out of lanes than hubby's F150. Gunnershorthair 10-10-2005, 1:42 PM Lexus GX470 with the seats down .. need the 4x4 if we are in snow!! MaddynAllysMom02 10-10-2005, 1:50 PM Well, my girlfriend that i meet up with has a Durango, so we usually start with that. Once we fill it up, we go back to my Expedition, or this year I might take the Impala, since it has a huge trunk........and unload or just change cars and start over empty........lol. |
