What exactly is a Coupon Train anyway?
A Coupon Train is a great way to discover new coupons and new friends!
The Train is an envelope filled with coupons that gets passed along to each participant, or Train Rider. The first person or Conductor sends out the envelope to the first person on the list. That rider goes through the envelope, pulling whichever coupons she desires and replaces the same number of coupons. She then sends it to the next rider.

Some handy rules to know:

1. Send to the person below you on the train list included in each envelope.
2. Take out as many coupons as you want, but be sure to replace them with the same number of coupons.
3. Do not put expired or very close to expiring coupons into the envelope.
4. Please do not flood the envelope with coupon duplicates. No more than 3 of the same coupon
5. If you no longer wish to be in a train, please cross your name off the list and PM me.
6. You have 3 days to go through the envelope and decide which coupons you are taking/replacing.
7. Post to this thread when you receive the Train envelope and again when it is going out. This helps all riders track the train.
8. This is a Circle Track Train, so the last person on the list will send the first.
9. If you flake on the Coupon Train, you will be removed from the lists and not be allowed to participate in other Trains.
10. Two stamps will be required on the envelopes. Yes, there will be that many coupons.

Please sign up in this thread and PM one of the conductors your complete name and address.

I just received baby train #2 yesterday & will try to send it out today to JMC500. I need stamps and if I get to the store, I'll send it out today. if not, I'll send it out on Monday. I noticed we have several that are expiring 12/31 so it will be really light in a few weeks!

Train 1 was received Saturday and is going out to jmc500 tomorrow!!

I was just wondering if I am being skipped?? There are so few riders on these trains and I have not seen a baby train in probably 2 months!!!! Just wanted to check in because I see that they are moving but I am not getting baby trains and I am on #1 and #2,

For example, I see that jmc mailed both trains on 12/26. I should have been next for train #1, but it went around me some how. And train #2 was sent the same day. I was the second person to receive this one next and somehow that one went around me too!! If someone could shed some light on this for me, I would appreciate it.

We finally got our internet back up. I just dropped by to check on this thread and I see I'm supposed to have one coming my way. I haven't received anything yet, but I'm going to go ahead and take myself off the trains. My youngest is 16 months now, so besides diapers, I don't have to buy very much, and my supply of baby coupons is pretty much gone now. If one comes my way, I'll cross myself off the list and send it on.:)

I'm sorry guys. I got train 1 last week and I completely forgot about it. DH lost his job over a month ago and things have been quite crazy here. As a matter of fact, we are relocating to Houston tomorrow temporarily. I will give the train to my MIL to mail for me on Monday. I'm already off the train and I'll cross Danielle off this one too. Sorry for the huge delay. I claim full responsibility for it. I probably won't be on for a few weeks until we find a place to stay and get settled in and then we'll get the internet up and running. Hopefully by that time the trains will be running smoothly again. I'm really sorry:no:

Since we're losing a few riders, Caitlinn and myself have decided to combine the trains. It seems that the train (#1) is coming from Kimpooh heading towards Furlynn. Furlynn, please advise when you receive the train.

In the mean time, does anyone mind if I send out another train (Train 1A). I have a TON of coupons that I don't want to get wasted. In addition, I'll add the newest rider, Joenkims.

Good news! A baby train (#1A) has been dropped in the mail and it's off to our new rider(joenkims)!! I don't have the order of riders on hand (I'll add it when I get home).

If you have room for one more, I would love to be added to the train. I am expecting my first baby in July and I'm trying to stock up on stuff.

Yeah... It's been a long time since anyone has seen a train. As far as I can tell, both trains have gone MIA. So I decided to start up a new one (combining both train lists and removing those not interested). Paytonroxler, you are still on the list. :) I'm at work, again and don't have the list on hand.... I've gotta remember to post that tonight.

I have no idea what happened to the train that was mailed. I had to leave it with my MIL to mail for me when we moved to Texas. I spoke with her on Feb 16th and she said she mailed it. Our mail still isn't making it here yet, but I'll tell her to keep an eye on our mailbox back home to see if it comes back to us. If it does, I'm sure most of the coupons will be expired, but I'll see what I can come up with out here.

I received the train yesterday. I will go through it tonight and send to the next rider tomorrow.

Baby Train #1 was sent yesterday. I apologize if it is light. There were 13 coupons that had expired in FEB!!! in this train and another 15 that were expiring at the end of the month. I was a quite disappointed in this train. I wait forever to get a train and basically, there's nothing in it but expired stuff for me to replace.

When I received it, I only removed coupons that were expired (thought I got them all) and added all the coupons I had. Didn't take any out to use as I'm still 3 months from my due date so a little early for me to buy anything since I have nowhere to put it. Hoping the next time it makes it around to me, I'll be ready to buy some stuff.

Okay, wait! Need to clarify:

There's 2 trains running around. #1 and #1A. Baby train #1 was MIA since Christmas. It has suddenly re-appeared. #1 should be light and have mostly expired coupons. I plan to refresh it when I get it.

BUT...
Recently, I sent out another train (#1A). This train is new. Coupons should be fairly recent (which is what joenkims received).

Seriously what is going on with the baby train?? Why can't it be more organized?? I have thrown away so many good baby coupons as well as toysrus coupons that it ain't even funny. it don't take much to recieve the train take out the coupons you need then replace them with new coupons. If I do not recieve the train in the next week or so then please take me off. I'LL just post what coupons I have and if any of you are interested just pm me your address and i'll mail them out to you.

I know I have a $5 Similac check, 27 Huggies coupons (most are save $1-$2) then some others, gerber, J&J, Nuk, etc.
