My sister just recently decided that she wants a treadmill for Christmas, so now I'm scrambling to try and find a good deal. I desperatly need help finding something decent and decently priced.

I saw that K-Mart is going to have one during their Thanksgiving day sale for 269 and I kinda wanted to go and put it in layaway but I'm kinda nervous about that. I might do that, I'm not sure, but if anybody knows of a better deal or a better treadmill for that price, pretty please will you let me know?

I'm sure in 6 months it will be collecting dust and clothing, so I don't want to spend a ton but right now she really wants it. The only thing that I care about is that it not be a manual treadmill. Any help will be most appreciated!

before buying a treadmill find out exactly what she wants to use it for. Most of the ones that you can get at walmart and k-mart type stores can only be used for walking. If she is planning on running or even jogging on the thing be prepared to spend thousands. You may want to check out some in home walking videos instead. Leslie Sansone has a great variety and they are very effective with a lot of difficulty levels. Plus they don't take up as much room. I started with the videos and once i knew that i was serious I bought a very expensive treadmill from a hotel liquidation company for a huge discount. I know run 5 miles 5 times a week and wouldn't give it up for anything. I hope to god that they thing doesn't break because it would cost me 6000.00 to replace it and i only payed $100.00.

Sports AUthority has a Proform 380E in their ad for 399.00 and if you use the F&F coupon (ends today) for 25% you and get it for 299.00. I sent my DH out this morning to check it out.
