View Full Version : do kroger or food lion ever triple? kardomr 11-19-2008, 4:08 PM also wondering--a friend thinks kroger is more expensive than harris teeter. really?! anyone ever compare? jaedynstarr2001 11-19-2008, 5:35 PM well i dont have a harris teeter but krogers is where i get 99% of my free groceries....if you watch your coupons and their sales closely....there are tons of things you get for free or close enough to it...as far as doubling and tripling...i think it differs by region or maybe even store....my store doubles up to $1 coupons (making them up to $2)...they have spans of time where they will make any coupon $2 and i dont think ive seen a triple in a long time but i know they used to on the smaller qs like 50cents or less....i heard somewhere they may no longer be doubling but thats not confirmed so im getting my free stuff while i can! Rockfordmom 11-19-2008, 7:15 PM here kroger (hilander) doubles to .55 and they used to twice a year double to $2 but they haven't done it in a couple years, at least I haven't seen it I think their regular prices are higher and I've heard a lot of people say that, but if you get their savers card and shop their sales & use coupons you can get some good deals chrisjuvers 11-19-2008, 10:54 PM My kroger's in southern IL doubles .50 and under. They never triple. I think it depends if you have another store in the area that triples. jaedynstarr2001 11-20-2008, 8:20 AM wow you all need to come to one of our krogers so you can double those dollar coupons, lol! AndreaInNC 12-2-2008, 11:40 AM our Kroger doubles but only on coupons up to 50 cents. They rarely triple. But, they do send me coupons all the time and I find I save money by doing their reward card. Our Food Lion doesn't even double, which is why I rarely shop there. HansieDZ 12-2-2008, 2:15 PM Our Kroger/Scott's triples up to .50.They used to double up to $1. I think Meijer still doubles up to $1. |
