it's not worth it to. You'll probably get a minute and a half or so of time.
When dh was in Iraq in '03, he used a calling card from AT&T to call. Each time he made a call, they charged him 10 minutes just as a connection fee...I think if I put 600 minutes on his card he wound up with about an hour of time he could use to call here from Iraq.
Rates vary by country but a 15-minute card (in US minutes) would not give you very much time at all for international calls.

I get no name brand cards where you call a non toll free number and they dont subtract any connection charges from you.

Then I would continue to use them and also look at OneSuite.com (http://www.onesuite.com)
It may cost a few more cents but the call quality, features, online recharging and PINSkip features are well worth it.
