I just took a digital camera off my list as I got this (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Digital_Point_Shoot/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=29&sku=A1622415) shipped to me for $170. My budget was closer to $300, so the cameras are pretty high end but not dslr.
I have done some research. If you post your requirements/budget, I'll make suggestions if your shopping list looks like mine did.

Wow! How'd you get that shipped for $170? You should post however you did it in the Online Hot Deals Forum. Great job, btw!

thanks. it was a dell $110 300 use coupon stacked on a sale price. stumbled upon the deal in another forum. Thing is, I was doing research for BF -- figuring out what I wanted and what it should cost -- at the time. Sometimes you find the best deal before BF. I don't expect to see a better deal on BF.
I got an 80g PS3 for $250 shipped with $150 off using a sony card two weeks ago. I have all my PS3 games and accessories. I'm shopping for a TV right now. LOL every friday is BF someplace.
I'm looking for a VERY inexpensive camera for my 2 nieces. Like everyone else, I want a GREAT camera just don't want to spend an arm and a leg. :)
Any suggestions?

I got mine when I briefly lived in Japan 2 years ago and it is still far better than anything being sold in North America.
I know biccamera.com ships and has good prices (you can get a very nice camera for under $100) but if you don't read Japanese it's probably of no use to you. Sorry :(
I bought my daughter a Canon. Two years ago I had bought both teens Kodak digital cameras, and thank GOD I bought the extended warranty with it because my one daughter's died after 13 months! Sears couldn't fix it so they gave me $200 towards a new camera and I went with the Canon 7 megapixel. I don't know how much you are looking to spend, but go with the better brands like Olympus and Canon. DO NOT get Poloroid, their cameras are the worst, cheapest pieces of garbage around! IMHO anyway.

I currently have a Nikon D40 and I have some cash saved up to get a Nikon D90 (going semi-professional in the photography biz). I'm hoping they have some kind of deal on the Nikon cameras.

Oh I'd love to see ANY deals on the Nikon D90. Or the brand new Canon 5D. Wow. Both those cameras are amazing but the Canon takes longer video footage and it works with lenses I already have.
Anyone know of any deals for BF on those?

SOMETIMES Best Buy will run a 10% off coupon on DSLR's. The last one I got though was 10% off the camera and a lens, which would seriously negate any savings.

I am looking for a good Digital Camera for my DH, he wants good zoom on it. Doesn't have to be mega megapixels though.

Look at the Canon SX10, it's got 10 MP, and 20x optical zoom. It comes out in 2 days. I love the swivel screen for great shots and protection for the screen. Along with the quality Canon has, it's one of the best.

I was hoping for the SX1 IS but after reading a lot of the different camera sites it seems like Canon might not even release that model in North America.:(

Canon has stated they don't have plans to release it to North America any time soon. A lot of people seem to love it, so I don't know why they would pass up that chance to make money.

I actually found a KILLER deal on a Nikon D90 just about a week ago. I bought it. lol. I really couldn't pass up this deal. It wasn't an online, nor in-store. It was a friends' mom who got two of them for her birthday and she wanted to get rid of one, so I bought it from her. Completely new, in-box, never opened, with 2 different lenses, and a 4GB card, flash, and a filter. NICE! ALL for $ 1500. COULDN'T PASS IT UP!

im hoping to get my parents a new camera for christmas . they have a kodak cx7430 and my mom has a hard time seeing the small screen. I have a Canon A560 and i love it it takes great pictures for a point and shoot. I got it for 139.99 back in February at Best Buy. I would love a DSLR. Any one suggest any other good point and shoot cameras with a big lcd screen on the back?

Hello lcplwinkerswife;
I got my mom a digital camera last black friday and I let her pick it herself. She choose the Nikon S51, which has a 3in screen. For me, its a bit big; but for my mom, its prefect. I would recommend you look at some from Nikon. They are easy to use and they have big LCD screens.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a cheap, easy to use, first digital camera for my mom? I noticed that she is having trouble reading small print these days.
I noticed that viewfinders have dissapeared. Do you have trouble using the cameras without the viewfiders outside in the sun? I have an older camera, but I can't see anything on the screen when I am outside. I am wondering if that will be a problem for my mom since most of her pics will probably be taken outside.

I have a Canon SD750, which doesn't have a viewfinder. They have done something to the screen so that there isn't a glare. I haven't had any problems taking pictures in the sun with this camera.

DIL wants a digital camera. Does anyone here have the Casio EX-Z9 shown in the Radio Shack list for BF? It looks like there is a free printer with rebate. I read reviews at Amazon.com. Just wanted some opinions here. I have also thought about the Kodak one at Sears.
Anyone hear of a deal for a Canon 40D yet? With the 50D being introduced to the market this year, I've been so hopeful that there would be great BF sales on the 40D

I need help. I am looking for 2 digital cameras for my kids. I purchased one tonite at the Sears VIP (the pink Samsung for 79.99) and ordered the 10mp Samsung for $99.99. After purchasing the pink Samsung I realized that it took regular batteries. So does the one iI ordered. Are there any in the ad that have a good rep but have the rechargeable li-on battery. I am getting so confused with all of them and when I check out the reviews at Amazon some of them dont say if there is a rechargeable battery. Thanks for any and all help you can give me.
Will this thread have a comparison chart of all the cameras being offered on BF. I think it was done last year but I cant remember.

If they take regular AA batteries, just get them a battery charger w/rechargeable batteries. Before I got my DSLR camera, I had one that used AA batteries, and I bought 2 sets for the camera. That was in 2005. I STILL have the batteries that I use for various things, and I am about to pass that particular camera on to my daughter since she is getting old enough to learn how to use it.

Thanks Hoosier. One of the reasons I dont want to get them a camera that is not rechargeable is the possibility of them lmisplacing the rechareable batteries. At least with the built in li-on one less worry. I also find that the batteries that recharge compared to the built in dont last as long. I prefer to get built in rechargeable as much as a can otherwise I would have about 25 different sets of rechargeable batteries.

I am looking to spend $150 or under for a digital camera and need some help. My preferred brands are Nikon, Canon, or Sony. Possibly open to others except kodak!! I want something that will take clear pictures even if my hands shake. Also must take good night pics, action pics, red eye resolution, and good up close pics, like clear lines in a book. Also must take sd cards. Willing to spend up to $200, but would rather stay around $100-$150 if possible. I have had horrible luck with kodaks!! Any advice much appreciated!!! TIA!

Samsung just revealed two new budget digital cameras, the 7-megapixel S760 and the 8-megapixel S860. They don't have much in the way of gimmicks or high-end features, but with respective suggested retail prices of $170 and $180, we wouldn't expect them to.
Besides the different resolutions, the S760 and S860 are essentially identical cameras. Both use the same 38mm-to-105mm-equivalent 3x lens, bolstered slightly by the camera's sensitivity-bumping, shutter-quickening digital image stabilization. They include a handful of useful software features, like a face-detecting autofocus/auto-exposure mode and a variety of on-camera photo-editing options. They don't seem to offer anything unique to really separate them from the growing number of sub-$200 7- and 8-megapixel cameras out there, but they still present an option for budget-conscious users. Samsung plans to ship both the S870 and S760 in January. "

Ok can someone please help me? :)
I am looking at three cameras
1) The Cannon Powershot SD1100 IS
2) The Sony Cybershot DSC-W55
3) The Canon Powershot 870 IS
I want something with good image stabilization, my hands shake. Also want something with a red eye corrector, good night shots, and good battery life. If it takes an SD card, that is even better. I have looked at Cnet for all of these cameras, and I don't really see much of a difference. However, I can't find anything about what kind of batteries they take, or what kind of storage, ie memory card, stick etc... Can anyone help me out here?

I would get the 870IS. The SD is cute and small but so is the 870 and I think the 870 has a few more features. Do not get the Sony. I'm not a huge fan of using memory sticks in the first place, and second, my brother bought a sony and it died after day 1. Teaches him right to abandon the Canons.
I have the SD750 which I like for something that is small, portable and takes good pictures. Definitely learn how to use the features on your camera - there are quite a lot - to take better pictures. I had an old Canon S500 and it took awesome pictures until it started to die... *sigh*

I got the Samsung 860 for my DD10 for Xmas. I got the pink one at Sears Friends and family. It will be $79.99 on BF. It looks like a pretty good camera. I cannot open it since it is in a plastic wrapping. I do know it takes AA batteries. Originally I was going to return it but I decided to buy rechargeable batteries for her to use. I think it is a great 1st camera. She always wants to take pictures with mine or my cell phone.

Cameras don't do this. That kind of manipulation is done with photo editing software after you have taken the pic.

On my canon powershot it is a custom setting under my colors. I am sure most digital cameras have this.
Yeah, I think a lot of P&S cameras have this option - my DSLR does not, so it requires software...
