tempting, but a bit too big for me... and i'm not a fan of widescreen.

Man, I wanted one last Christmas bad when they were $460, but now I'm eyeing the 24". I've also read that the 20" WS has some light bleeding. Going to have to wait and save my money until the 24" come down to this price and then there is a 30" out there that will deter me from the deal. Do you see a cycle?

Yep it's a vicious cycle. I have the 2001FP (non-widescreen 20") and the 24" model has the same number of rows of resolution and is "only" 320 pixels wider than my 20" for almost twice the cost. I could see the 24" model being around $499 this time next year.

Then I would definitely buy the Dell UltraSharp 2001FP (http://www.gottadeal.com/DirectDeal/11215), 1600x1200 goodness :)

HOT!!!

The base price on this model dropped from $749 to $699, so now the sale price is $359.40 shipped!!!

The codes in the original post were the ones that expired earlier this week. I just replaced them, so if you were having trouble getting them to work, they have been corrected

If only I had a larger desk and dual DVI video card, I'd be all over this like RossMAN at CostCo.

Yes, welcome to GottaDeal! Keep watching in the next 2-3 months. The 24" FP is dropping in price, and consequently, so are the 20" displays. I would imagine that we'll see something in the $300 range for the 2005FPW. Maybe lower...I hope.

As soon as this hits ~$285 I will be all over this like flies on you know what. Probably won't happen until next July though.
