Yay!!! I'm hooked. LOL

But let me tell you, I had so much trouble going to sleep last night, because I kept having all of these "scenerios" going through my head. ("I can use this coupon with this, and if that one is BOGO then I can use two, blah blah blah.")

I went to Harris Teeter, armed with my binder and my shopping list. And here's how I made out: (I'm guessing the cashier I had may have been new, because now that I'm going over my receipt, she made errors - in my favor though) :D

Kraft Salad Dressing, BOGO so 2/$2.79- coupon for 75cents off of 2 (doubled to $1.50)
Frenchs Mustard $1- coupon for 50 cents off (doubled to $1) FREE
Franks Hot Sauce (large bottle) $2.19- Coupon for free bottle- FREE
Franks Hot Sauce (small bottle) 2/$1.00- Had 2 coupons for $1 off any size- FREE (and $1 overage)
Live Active cereal- $3.79- coupon for $3 off- 79cents
Heluva Good Dip - 2/$3.00- coupon for 50cents off (doubled to $1)- 50 cents (only bought 1)
Heluva Good cheese (brick)- 2/$5.00- 2 coupons for 75 cents off (each doubled to 1.50), - so 2/$2.00
Bing Cherries (my splurge for the week)- 4.99/lb (this was one of her goofups though- she rang them as red seedless grapes for 2.99/lb- 1.03 lbs= $3.08

Another one of her goofups was one of my coupons. The Kraft salad dressing was on sale BOGO free and I had the coupon for 75 cents off, which should have doubled to $1.50, but it looks like she manually put the coupon in as -2.79, so I think I just got both of those bottles FREE.

So before coupons my total was $28.xx
After coupons--- $5.02!!
Total coupon savings- $23.73

Now, what am I going to do with all that Franks Hot Sauce?? LOL

I only bought what I had coupons for (except for the cherries).

we bring the excess to the food shelf. I am sure they would appreciate some hot sauce.

Good job! keep an eye on your storage space, and learn the prices of the things you normally get at more than 1 local store..

Wow that is great!!
I am just starting and have found that one of my favorite stores does not accept printed internet coupons.
The other store I shop at will only double coupons under $.50 and then they will not accept coupons for more than the cost of the item. So if I have a coupon for 50 cents and they double it to $1 but the item costs $.95 they will only take $.95 of my order. This store is the only one in the area that even doubles coupons!!

I am glad to see that I am not the only one that does that, lol.

Congrats!

My local store (Walmart) does price match. After my trip to the store tonight, I am very pleased. Originally all of my groceries would have cost me close to 200 dollars. After price match, I get them for $137.

And get this grad total of $123!!!!

ALl this for items I needed that wasn't on sale as well....

Not bad for not shopping in the last 3 weeks :gdlicklips:

:yup: Anything you don't think you will use before it expires, drop it off at the food pantry. You'd be amazed what people don't get, things we use everyday & take for granted. I bet a bottle of hot sauce would brighten someones day!

I went today and my total was $131.xx before my coupons (double) plus I used some
of the store coupons (pull off ones) my total came to $71 and change :p

It took me extra time shopping and cutting the coupons but it is well worth it.

Yesterday's trip was a huge success too.
Had to go to walmart to pick up some pet things, saved a few bucks, the highlight of that trip was the free box (+2cent overage) of Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate clusters.

On to Harris Teeter-- Before their club (v.i.c.) savings and coupons my total was $63.
After all discounts applied-- $18.76 :D

Highlight of that trip was:

Free:
2- Daisy brand Sour Cream
2- Spray & Wash w/ Resolve (+1cent overage)
2-Pasta Roni Nature's Way (+24cent overage)

Dirt cheap:
Jello Rice pudding (sugar free) 6pk- $1
Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh singles (twin pack)- 50cents
CoolWhip aerosol- $1
Dole Fruit parfait 4pk- 50cents

I made my very first trip with my coupon binder this weekend!!!!! I think I did pretty good.

Frist I went to Dollar General:

Bought 19 items, saved $11.05 with my coupons and spent OOP 32.36!

Then I went to Food World, signed up for a card!!! And wow!!!! They had a lot of B1G1 and they let me use 2 coupons on those. The girl was very sweet. I handed her my coupons one at a time to make sure they scanned and I was shocked at how much I saved. Once I picked what I was buying and matched it with the coupon, I pulled the coupon from it's holder and placed it in front of the brinder. it worked like a charm!

My total before savings was $81.45.
My total after savings was 48.13 with tax!!!

I saved a total of $36.21!!!!!

I would like to thank CouponCrissy!!!!! If it wasn't for watching her news link, I most likely would not have given it a shot. But once I got it, I got it. Just match the coupons with the sales. Forget about brands and go for it!!!!!

I think my next trip will be Food World, Winn-Dixie, Dollar General and then to CVS.

I still have to learn the CVS game. But I am getting there.

So how do you think I did?

Does Food World double coupons?
