If you wish to join a coupon train, please PM me and we will get you added. You must have more than 50 posts and be a member of Gotta Deal for at least 2 months.



Light Cargo Train “Rules Of The Ride”:

1. Send to the person below you on the train list included in each envelope.

2. Take out as many coupons as you want, but be sure to replace them with the same number of coupons.

3. Do not put expired or very close to expiring coupons into the envelope. Example if a coupon expires June 30th, please remove the coupon at least by the 20th of that month. If you wish to keep it in the train, it is extra weight, not part of the required amount for the train.

4. Please do not flood the envelope with coupon duplicates. No more than 3 of the same coupon.

5. If you no longer wish to be in a train, please cross your name off the list and PM me (Bethanykay6).

6. You have 2 days to go through the envelope and decide which coupons you are taking/replacing.

7. Post to this thread when you receive the Train and again when it is going out. This helps all riders track the train. Please make a habit of doing this. If you have to, subscribe to this thread that way you receive emails to remind you. This is how we keep track of where each of the trains are.

8. This is a Circle Track Train, so the last person on the list will send the first.

9. If 2 Trains become missing at your stop without explanation you will be off the Coupon Train, you will be removed from the lists and not be allowed to participate in other Trains.

10. NO Prilosec or Nexium coupons allowed! Try to minimize the photo coupons from magazines as well as diaper.com coupon codes as those are available to everyone on the web.

11. If there is coupons that you need or would like to see, please post so we know to add those to the trains.

I still haven't received a train from ssf. It's been over a week. I'll just create a new train and send it to kselzer. Are these trains going to be numbered?

It would be great if they could be numbered. That way we know where each of the trains are and where they are getting stuck or lost at.

There doesn't seem to be too much action with this train. I'm afraid most of the trains are just not being passed along.
to get it going again, and since we seem to be starting fresh, I think it would be a good idea if anyone who can send out a new train.

I'll send out a new train tomorrow to Kieransmummy and label it Train #2 using the new list.
Hopefully people who don't want to do it anymore will ask to be taken off the list so it isn't ruined for those who still want to be involved. :)

that is why i want to number the trains. that way we can track each one every time it moves and wherever they are getting lost at we can get them fixed.

hopefully now that the list is new and fresh maybe the trains will start moving again

i have enough coupons, I think I am goin to start a train tomarrow. Im not going to join in, but just get a new train going so I can personally track where it is at all times, so I can figure out why the darn things are gone.

She rarely posts, but was keeping trains going. The rules say you have to post & if we've had lost ones, there's no way to tell where stuff is when they don't post. You can remove her, see if she realizes it.

Well, it looks like #3 and #6 haven't gotten there... or their owners just haven't posted.... I'd wait before sending a replacement.

If this is going to work, the riders MUST post. The heavy train works really well because everyone posts and no one flakes out.

I sent a PM out to everyone on this train. I know one person is out on vacation, so she won't be able to respond right away, but I need everyone else to please respond to me.

We need to figure out why and how these trains disappear. So please do your part and post when you get the train and when you mail it out. If this is difficult for you to do, please remove yourself from the train. Many people spend too much time, effort and money on these coupon trains and take them very seriously. So please do your part!

I received train #3 today. It's a shame though. It took so long for it to get to me, almost all the coupons are very close to expiration.

Coupons I can use: Cheerios Crunch (i love this stuff!!!) or GM coupon where this is included in list of cereals, Weight Watchers, Smart Ones, Stouffers, Healthy Choice, Mott's applesauce, Hebrew National hot dogs, ore-ida fries. Those are the ones I can think of right now - otherwise I match up the coupons to the ads.

they are suppossed to be marked at the top of the list that is inside the envelope what train number it is. make sure that it is done that way everyone knows what train it is

CHECK YOUR PM'S NEW LIST...NEW RIDER.....ONE DROPPED OFF. Make sure you trash all OLD copies of lists. Take out all lists from current trains and THROW IT AWAY. Put in new list dated 6/2/08. Make sure you write the train number you are sending on teh top of the list. That way we all know what train it is without the envelope.

We have 2-3 days to mail it I believe, you need to replace the amount of coupons you remove.
We can all print coupons direct from our own computer if we need them, I don't see the point in adding them to the train.

I would say yes if there is a limit you can print out. For example I love the Activa cereal and there is a printable $3 off coupon. But you can only print one.
So I would say if there is a good coupon like that and you don't want it put it in!!

Received train #2. This train made the whole loop so I removed coupons I know I put in. Also lightened up the June expiry with longer dates so no one person gets stuck.

I live in apartment complex but my mail get delivered right through the mail slot on my door and my mail man will take mail that i leave in the slot(as long as I remember to put postage on it)... the train is on its way to Roselle nj....

Received Citrixgirl's envelope today. I am sending it to kieransmummy as train #9 will go out on Monday, because I won't be able to make it to post office tomarrow. Im doing a garage sale for our daycare..have to be there from 645am to noon and then tearing down till two and our post office closes at 1030 on saturdays. So I will get it out on MOnday!

Please welcome Fuzzywuzzy86 to the train. They were a part of train 3, which has now been derailed. They are the only one to be added to this train, they took the place of Lilquiet.

This train is rocking and rolling. If I find that all of a sudden it stops in certain places, I will not hesitate to remove the rider causing problems. We all put alot of money and time into these trains and hate to see them disappear due to selfish people.

I would say just let it take it's normal route no reason to mess it up. I am sure another one will come through sooner or later. Also I would like to put out there now and I will try to put another reminder up closer that on sept 2 I will be going in for a c section so I will be offline for about 2 weeks as I will be in the hospital for a bit them home with a new born and and a 4 year old.

I am resending train 1 out. I feel that even though there are 9 trains going right now. At any moment 2 or 3 of those could get lost at the post office and we would be knocked back down. I want to keep these things going. I will not have more than 10 trains going at one time. So that will be the limit.

Also---can we please start posting WHICH train/car you are recieving and which you are sending. Im a little confused on the last couple of posts and have NO IDEA how to update the list as there a couple of trains on the way to some of you and you posted that you got a train, but which one? If its not labeled---LABEL IT. ON the list so that way it doesn't get tossed.

Removed ALL the 6/30. There should NOT be ANY 6/30 expirys in the trains at this point. Everyone should be removing as the 2 week mark approaches and not adding any so no one rider gets stuck.

Train 3 was large enough to be seperated into 2 seperate trains considering this is the 'light' train and that was the train I overstuffed and it was 4 ounces. I was assuming that most coupons in train 2 were expired or very close to expiring that is why I overstuffed train 3 and sent in a larger envelope than normal. The lag between me sending out the trains and you receiving was just nuts.

#3 was mailed from me to tinydancer & tinydancer mailed again today to the next person (see post above mine)

#2 I just got from the PO because it had postage due (and I can only go to the PO on Saturday, as that is the only day/time it is open when i am not working). #3 was really overstuffed with bunches of coupons. I pulled them out to go back down to 2 oz. #2 is almost all expired since it got stuck at the PO, so I am using the overfilled ones from #3 to resupply #2. Did that make sense???... bottom line is I will get #2 back out tomorrow :)

Oh no, that's not good with trains going her way.

And, to anybody new.. this train has a rule on expired coupons. (seems the baby train doesn't) As we near mid month, you should replace coupons with longer dates, so no one person is stuck removing all of them. Usually you will see the same coupons come out from the same manufacturers as coupons near expiry.

And by the 15th or so, all end of month coupons should be gone, unless they're freebies or something you KNOW the next guy uses.

she was added i think because of the split of train 3. im gonna have to do some research, this could be a total MY BAD. If so, I have PLENTY of coupons to restart these trains if they become in the dark hole beyond recovery.

Just want to apologize a head of time if this is the case. I guess I can see where my problems were on train 3.

#4 seems to to be mainly pharmacy, personal, make up, and not so commen food items. No kid food, frozen items, and everyday food items.

..........and I'm sure like everyone else I consider a "good" coupon to be one that you only have to buy one item. My market triples up to 50 cents and doubles up to 99 cents. So 50 and 75 cent coupons off of one item is good for me. I'm always on the lookout for one item coupons that I don't need to put in the train.
I too don't use the makeup coupons but look more for the food coupons.
Not complaining though......like I said I usually can get a few coupons out of a train. Some envelopes are just going to be better than others. :)

very good to know. I avoid canned/packaged foods (due to high BP) so always cut those coupons and put in the trains. Most trains are not heavy food, so I keep an eye out to try to balance them. No triples in NJ, only doubles, so I also like the 75c ones, which is why the train is good. I put in the 1/1 and take the .75/1, which works out better for me ! LOL.

I also CVS shop so always look for coupons that would correspond to their sales/ECBs.

There's no reason to spend money mailing expired coupons. If you don't have enough to replace, then just take the old ones out and tell us.

I basically redid the whole train, and won't have that many qs for the next one.
It is in the mail to Kasha from the big PO. But the PO is closed on Friday.

i see lots of talk about the expired coupons .... I would just like to rimind people that some of our troops and there families over seas can use coupons that are past date up to 6 months past date....

Basically, I redid the whole train. I added MIR and non-inserts, but I I have a lot less good coupons to add to the next one.

The 2 or 3 riders before me should have been slowly removing the JUNE 30s.
