I teach middle school special ed. The kids I teach have moderate disabilities. I have to share a room with another teacher who is used to teaching "regular" high school students. He just started this job and doesn't seem to really care about watching the kids.

After his class leaves, I notice things missing from my prize box. I have it somewhere the kids aren't supposed to go, but things still go missing.

I don't need a safe, just an inexpensive plastic box I can lock. Does anyone have any good ideas?

could you just get a box that looks exactly like yours and fill it with something boring... like toothpaste... or potting soil... and switch your box with the decoy every night for a week or so... should dissuade them...

Or, send the other teacher a bill.

I already have decoys, mostly because my room has no storage I have several other of the same boxes filled with things like books, construction paper, and other not so fun stuff.
